Extended Bio:

The Streetlights is a pseudonym for songwriter Ryan Wynne, and his backing band. Formed of:

Ryan Wynne - Songwriter, Vox & Rhythm Guitar (Manchester/Stockport)

Owen Marsh - Bass (St Helens)

Matty Garmston - Lead Guitar (Hull/Grimsby)

Max Holmes - Drums

The band’s sound derives from Ryan’s love of the storytelling indie rock music of bands like The Killers, Wunderhorse, and Fontaines D.C, and their M.O. is to create unforgettable, energetic and raw live shows.

The Streetlights released their debut single ‘Something More’ on the 26th of September, with its "hypersonic intensity" and "stylistic indie chops" inviting comparisons to legacy indie-rock giants The Killers and Catfish and the Bottlemen, while the "romantic existential philosophy" and "raw dejection" in its lyrics evoke the works of Fontaines DC.

The band made their live debut in May at a show in St Helens, with their last show seeing them Headline 33 Oldham Street in Manchester. Having released two tracks/demos in 2025, The Streetlights ended the year in the studio with “Sugar House Producers” (Of Viola Beach & Pale Waves fame), recording their first professional single “Silver Linings” which will be released in March.

The Streetlights are looking for booking opportunities to further cut their teeth and expand their audience.

As seen in…

For a debut, “Something More” accomplishes what many bands take years to achieve: a sense of identity. The Streetlights manage to balance vulnerability and swagger, introspection and energy. They’ve taken personal pain and turned it into a shared emotional experience — the true hallmark of great songwriting. As they prepare to tour across the UK, their momentum feels unstoppable. To borrow from critic Amelia Vandergast’s words, “The Streetlights will likely find the ‘more’ they’re lyrically searching for — and that will come in the form of rapturous applause.” If “Something More” is any indication, that applause is already echoing just beyond the horizon..”
